Jules Henry, known in the industry as Julhenry, is the CEO and founder of Tan Agency, a leading management models based on Bali, with screening and casting offices located in Jakarta and Bangkok. We discover what motivates him.

What inspired you to come and work in Bali?
Moving to Bali has never been an inspiration or plan. I wanted to leave Paris to broaden my horizons. Bali kept being presented as an option and was the most attractive. I came here in 2008 with no plan. Sometimes the best plan is no plan.
How did you get into the world of beauty and fashion?
My passion has always been fashionable. Growing up in Paris, he was part of my experience. Fashion is constantly define beauty through design, makeup, hairstyles and how it is presented. I loved the catwalk and became involved as a hair and make the best shows and major publications. I had a good career, but I wanted a change. How did you get started in the business model?
all started with Fa Empel, top model of Indonesia, who came to me and was followed by another top model, Helene Jansen, and my role has evolved rapidly in one management. It works well because I am able to forget all aspects of a production, whether it be a film or a show, having had the background to be in makeup and hairstyle. I know what the talent needs and am able to make sure it is done correctly. Eventually I started Fauve Agency.
Tell me about your agency.
Fauve Agency is a boutique style, full service model agency based in Bali with offices screening and casting Jakarta and Bangkok. We offer a complete list of over-stay and direct booking of models to our local customers and in Asia / Pacific to meet the demands of a growing market. The globalization of the fashion and modeling industries has led to a growth campaigns produced in Indonesia for use in multiple sales areas, including Asia, North and South America, Europe, the Middle -orient and Australia. Is there a type of model you prefer to manage and work with?
At a talent! I do not represent bloggers or cute girls. " Under 175cm in height are not considered. I'm lucky to work with the best professional models.
Tell me the greatest challenges you face representing your models.
The biggest challenge is to be good enough to represent them; I want to meet their highest expectations. I'm always afraid that I might miss them, so we are working hard to ensure that we maintain the highest standards in the industry. My models are first!
What are some of the companies and publications that you work with?
Thanks to wonderful talents such as Nicoline Patricia photographer, we work with all the magazines as Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Elle and Vogue. Our clients include the most respected advertising agencies and recognized worldwide and the production companies that have learned to trust and rely on Tan to always provide the best model management services.
Have you beauty tips for living in the tropics?
The tropics are a nightmare for women who want to be in an environment that will support their beauty. Do not stay here long! Humidity and pollution wreak havoc on hair and skin. You get too much sun exacerbated with the constant sweating; it is probably the worst environment for your beauty needs.
My advice is natural is best. Good makeup is good for your skin, but it is best to let the skin breathe. Be comfortable! For example, if you do not need to dress up for an event, why dress? Use raw aloe vera for sunburns and stay hydrated and use vitamin E oil on the lips. Eat a coconut per day; it has everything your body needs to stay healthy and is the best for hydration. Always have a water mist in your bag and use it frequently. Use sunscreen or aloe vera everywhere, every day. Eat lots of raw foods like fruits and vegetables. Rinse your face every time you wash your hands. And never leave the house without a bikini!
Do you have any advice for young girls who want to become models?
Wanting to be a model just isn "t enough. It is not something you can get unless you have everything you need, which is the first to have appearance and height. It is the dream of many girls because they see magazines and read about the glory and recognition. they want to look like the models in magazines. But even girls in the media not look like that in real life the world of fashion is beautiful, artsy, and dreamer. he's just making us dream, not to make us look like that every day in the street
If you have eyes and find a good photographer and learn how to move and be photographed. you will know if it comes naturally. some girls become media bloggers or Instagram shots and some good bloggers become good models, but that is the exception. It is an art of being a good role model and takes a lot of hard work, discipline and practice.
How Bali [and Indonesia] serve as a good basis for the industry of fashion and beauty?
Bali has been known for its culture and beauty. Now it is also known as a fantastic place to shoot and photograph films. Since Eat, Pray, Love , all Hollywood wanted to make at least one scene here. Companies like working here; it is in their budget and there are always all kinds of extra. They are required to hire local talent that usually comes from all over Indonesia, based in Jakarta and Bali.
The new young professionals in Indonesia are just to be recognized by the international industry. They are so good, as good as any professional in New York or Paris. This includes casting, gaffers, assistants of all kinds, photographers, scouts and location of the production staff. editors and fashion producers consider Bali one of the most sought after locations in the world, not only for the beauty of the place, but for the growing number of talented young professionals and models that come out of this wonderful country!
