Chris of Canada, I had no idea people were playing ice hockey in Jakarta! Where do you play?
We meet on Tuesdays and Sundays at Taman Anggrek rink. We encourage newcomers or those who are not such strong skaters to join on Sunday, Tuesday night are a bit rough. We'll be back on it after the Christmas holiday in the second week of January.
How many of you play and what system do you have going on?
We are more than we had with us about 18 on Tuesday. We have three teams of six and play the round for an hour and a half. The guys are a mix of Canadians, Swedes, Americans, Indonesians who grew up in the States and the Ambassador of Finland!
Do you participate in competitions?
Yes, there are several tournaments in South Asia, not in Indonesia, however, and the next will be in Bangkok for over 35 tournament in March.
What is your name?
The "Jakarta Dragons. "We used to be called" Jakarta corruption ", but was changed to be more PC
How does the rough ice hockey actually get?
There is a pretty rough sport. You can use your body to hit and hit opponents, but no perforation. Basically, you use your body to hit.
Have you guys are absolutely in it?
I'm usually pretty calm person and I think this is my outlet. We can get enough in it and often there are grudges in competitive leagues. I would say that overall, however, our games Tuesday night are quite tame and are sometimes "rough in the boards' guys.
Has anyone had injuries?
A few weeks ago one of the goalkeepers broke his little finger, but no serious injuries yet.
So how is the ice in Jakarta?
is in a mall, which is larger than the mall does not really jumped on board with us play. Once the washer has flown off the ice and hit a girl, not hard and it was fine, but they closed us for a while. The rink is in poor condition and probably a third of the size of an ice rink, but do not complain. At least there is one and we have fun!
All rituals after games?
Yes, we bring a cooler full of beer and hang after the game. That's really what ice hockey is; a drink and socializing afterwards.

I decided to cut out, but I've already done. Basically, I want to live a healthier life.
