My unforgettable memory about Christmas was when I woke up to the smell of turkey roasting in my parents in the house right; everyone was happy, exchanging gifts - this wonderful gaiety. Christmas is always beautiful no matter what the weather is like.
Although I am in Bali now, I know that Christmas should not be missed. So I head to renowned restaurants on the island to make memories of my special moments, which I hope can be your inspiration to celebrate this special day that only comes once a year with your family beloved.

There is nothing more exciting than the celebration of Christmas on the beach. Say goodbye to memories of cold winters in higher latitudes; the breeze, the waves from the beach in Seminyak and delicious temptations Chez Gado Gado honor this special day.
Christmas room will be presented 11 to 3 p.m. in three courses on 25 December. Chef Quirijn Rademaker, or Quib, will bring a tropical sea of Christmas; serve light, fresh and elegant dinner on the tables and some authentic Christmas cuisine such as classic cocktails shrimp Perfect liver, asparagus with ham, and of course roast turkey. To excite the kids (and adults too), they present a room full of gingerbread.
My favorite choice for the starter is the perfect chicken liver, which reminds me the day after Christmas. I used to sneak into my mother-in-law the refrigerator of his house for chicken liver pate left over from the day before. At Chez Gado Gado, the memory is presented more; Fresh chicken liver light comes alive with refreshing orange chutney, which represents the warm weather on delicious Christmas memories.
For the main course, green asparagus with ham comes beautifully with an egg half poached, boiled potatoes and hollandaise sauce sprinkled with chives on top. With this ideal proportion, I should not feel guilty and worry about my belly full to enjoy this particular pleasure.
But special treats waiting with authentic Christmas pudding and chocolate brownie. Apparently the chef Quib wants to surprise me with a unique Christmas candy; jackfruit beautiful tiramisu with chocolate ice cream. What could be better to end this special day?

This restaurant is located next to the beach of Batu Belig, has both a lunch and four-course meals with choice of six Asian and classic ingredients.
The scent of rosemary, cinnamon and truffle - and the laughter of your beloved family - will cure all nostalgic feelings you can have this time of year. Chef James Ephraim will spoil you with exceptional cocktail creation called Dirty Rosemary; a glass of vodka mixed with lime combined with the beautiful scent of rosemary and cinnamon, roasted olive and refreshing orange.
For my birthday, I choose Asian inspiration to experience a different Christmas. The first creation is amazing cream rempeyek cone. Then the genius chef James presents a myriad of Christmas colors on my plate with tuna carpaccio splashed with kaffir lime gel, fresh cucumber and baby lettuce; a very refreshing dish.
The richness of bumbu basa gede with roasted butter slipper lobster and Iberico 'Papada' with thin slices of tem happens, and Chief James catches me adding slices of white truffles, whose smell blows my mind away. And when I think that it stops there, a terrine of foie gras plate combined with local Kemangi and mangosteen comes as another treatment. My main course continues with exotic bumbu tear , bringing venison confit slow Sumatran away with spicy spinach with rosemary juice.
Another extraordinary gift arrives on my desk; this paves dauphinoire serves delicious dessert with cheese and black truffle, red wine ice cream and sable coconut. I can feel the nice smell and taste sensations of luxurious palaces, I will never forget. This certainty will become my best Christmas celebration.
The two to four-course lunch menu for Asian and classic ingredients are Rp.650K prices with additional Rp.400K for wine pairing.
Six course dinner menu for both Asian and traditional ingredients are priced at Rp.1,000,000 with additional Rp.400K for wine pairing.

I always liked the quiet atmosphere of Métis, and I can imagine the celebration Christmas in this serene situation surrounded by lush green and beautiful ponds at the rear of the restaurant. During this special occasion, a wide range of French and Mediterranean cuisine is offered for lunch on Christmas Day. Some examples are available Carpaccio of tuna, oysters or foie gras with different selections cooked albacore French techniques. For those looking for more authentic treats Christmas, Spanish ham "Jamon Iberico Bellota", grilled rack of lamb, roast turkey ham and grilled gammon will also be presented.
I try a nice entrance, cooked crab and steamed shrimp tartare Royal, combined with parsnips, celery and tarragon mayonnaise sauce. This dish is decorated with brightly colored salmon eggs, splashing such a balance and complexity of its salty flavor.
From 24 December to 5 January, Métis prepare special treats for all who want to enjoy the party but could not get him on the special day, so there's no reason ignore the joy of Christmas. Other temptations are served marinated quail, wild rocket salad, grape fruit, orange and honey vinaigrette inputted, any other dish like the pigeon pan-roasted breast, confit leg, caramelized endive and Pomme Anna can be a perfect main course.
Sampling this series of dinner, I get to try the seared scallops with sweet mascarpone risoni leeks and black truffle volouté, decorated with a multitude of pea leaves that remind me of the serene garden Métis. The flavor of the chives explodes in my mouth and balance from the creamy risoni perfectly.
This Christmas party is closed perfectly melted caraibe chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream; I remember my first Christmas Eve, when I tasted this special temptation in a classic pub in suburban England. I sat next to a fireplace to warm up the bad weather while enjoying melted chocolate and apple cider. Métis, the cake is combined with ice cream vanilla, toasted crushed nuts and a hint of cinnamon that enriches the flavor; a masterpiece that completes my memorable.
