YCA in Jakarta was established in 2012 and prides itself on having the highest standards of the city. Their programs are practical, using as many fresh ingredients as possible, with tools that are specially designed for children -. Students study and prepare cuisines from countries around the world. They learn to appreciate different cultures through cooking, with a touch of geography and history of the added knowledge. The Dapur Anak program was created for children 5-13 to teach independence in the kitchen all fostering creativity and provide a base platform to discuss nutrition. Students can choose Western-style pastry classes that involve more complicated cakes and biscuits Indonesian fare. In addition, they offer classes on making healthy drinks and barista training.

chef instructors can also be rented to travel in homes for private lessons and birthday parties. Each class is approximately two hours with a demonstration and practice session immediately following. Dapur Anak is located in Lotte Avenue and Plaza Indonesia Mall. Most classes are being conducted in Indonesia, but the study based on English can be accommodated on request.

It would be hard to find child who does not love pizza and pasta. So what better way to introduce children to the kitchen as the art of making pizza?

At the request of a number of eager customers, Executive Chef Andrew Zarzosa at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta established a DIY pizza bar during brunch every Sunday at their Italian themed restaurant Sapori Deli. Cooking activities for children soon followed. The chief wants to keep Zarzosa pleased to bring the children comfortable with the idea that the kitchen is not so difficult. He did not want to bombard their minds with correct technique, history and theory. The chief Ahmad Gojali, who recently worked for a Michelin-starred restaurant in Macau guide, supervise special activities for children six and older.

decision Pizza activities are administered to a large counter that revolves around the open kitchen in the center of the casual dining Sapori Deli. Children can sit on a high stool and watch their pizzas cooking in a traditional brick oven while parents dine comfortably within reach.

Maybe the pizza is just not hard enough and your child has a passion for raw fish and rice. Enter the chef Hideki Chomei, whose own passion for cooking began five years old when he helped his father in the family fish shop by cutting and selling fresh fish.

Children from 6-12 can learn the art of Japanese sushi chef distinguished, and receive a certificate of completion at the end of the event. Chef Chomei provides feedback at the end of the creation of a sushi standout and current prices.
