Jakarta is probably one of the best golf destinations in Asia and certainly when judged from the number of courses that can be played in and around the city, thirty eight in . Next to fabulous golf, Jakarta also offers a package of reflection in "after" the golf course, which means these pretty impressive things you can do once you have made your final putt. Night club shops and cafes and eating places enticing interesting tourist places, Jakarta has it all and is in a class of its own.
Golfers should consult the toll road Jagorawi along which one can find no less than 17 courses vying for the patronage of golfers from Indonesia, Asia and beyond. Starting at the top of this 45 km road that goes from South Jakarta all the way in the area Sentul Highland and pre-Puncak, we find during Emeralda and Riverside, two fabulous golf clubs that offer gambling on models international standard and have been designed by the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer (Emeralda) and Greg Norman (Riverside).
Less than 5 miles down the road and right at the exit of Gunung Putri, we find the entrance Jagorawi Golf & Country Club, the first of Indonesia golf club that offers golfers 45 championship golf holes. The two 18-hole layouts of the Old and New courses were designed by five times Open winner Peter Thomson, while the Z-9 Nine hole course was designed by the owner and Zakir US course designer in the late Max Wexler.
Shortly before arriving in the city of Bogor and out of Sentul Circuit on the left we find during Permata Sentul and Palm Hill, it is located next to the international circuit Sentul race. When we take the Sentul Selatan leave some 5 miles away, we enter the Sentul Highlands, a modern self contained residential area with gated clusters (residential) attractive as well as the 18 holes of the same name and a provision that was designed by the legendary south African Gary Player golf.
When we leave Sentul Highlands Golf Club and we just follow the signs that lead us to "the mountain" Rainbow Hills or Bukit Pelangi, the Indonesian name of the course. The most impressive provision is in an equally impressive natural setting that is located about 600 meters above the sea level and in very rough terrain that can be found in the mountainous district of Gadog pre-Puncak.
Rainbow Hills, one can actually see the two 18 hole layouts Gunung Geulis. Located about 900 meters above sea level, the West and East courses reflect the high quality of the courses that can be found in Indonesia, offering the golfer something experienced and passionate and well traveled back for. Standing on the West Course first tee box, golfers are offered the sight of the eye of a bird on the hinterland of Bogor to the distant horizon. With surgical precision golfers are required to land their tee shot on a course that is located about 60 meters below the starting area. Pretty intimidating and certainly no mean feat, I assure you.

leaving Gunung Geulis we head down the mountain to the city of Bogor, where we are heading Klub Golf Bogor Raya or popularly known as KGBR. Set up as an authentic garden of course, KGBR not only offers fabulous golf, but also offers golfers a more enjoyable ride in the middle of a wide variety of botanical plants, flowers and shrubs and trees that are identifiable by small signs representing the name of the respective species. It is quite educational, to say the least. KGBR is located in the autonomous residential area of Bogor Lake Side is also home Novotel Bogor, a family friendly hotel during the weekend turns into a weekend for many Jakartans.
Overall, we can say that the toll road Jagorawi is "the perfect drive down the road of golfer." Many clubs alongside the toll road special offers on weekdays Golf as ladies golf days or days or Wednesday Golf Senior Citizen Specials. given that, generally, the days of golf green fees will set you back more than Rp.400,000, golf in this part of a greater Jakarta is more affordable. and given the fact that we have entered into a new year, if you are a golfer, your resolution for this coming year should be to tee it more ...
