Commune Cafe

common opened in Singapore before making its way down to Jakarta. Town started as a furniture company, before the expansion in the culinary world. Chris and Julian Zikif Koh personally design all the furniture and accessories sold in the town exhibition hall here on Jalan Suryo. They seized the opportunity to realize one of their dreams trying to complete the second stage and therefore, Common Bistro was born. Bistro town has parents of different origins which explains the detail-oriented nature of the town. With the wealth of places to eat in Jakarta, which makes you want to come to town? In other words, the town is where the street meets style, made by foodies for foodies.

Chris's background in architecture and design has created a comfortable restaurant, but simply dressed, but generally awesome chic and inviting. I can best describe as common casual Melbourne hippie place with Jakartan sophisticated funk that offers a gourmet menu of bistro. A bit of a contradiction, but that's what makes you feel comfortable here. There is a pocket of space in the City that is sure to meet your personality. The main area is the place to be seen and enjoy the lively ambiance smack bang in the center of all the excitement that you are enveloped by the open kitchen, open bar and private dining rooms; simple and clean with wood floors, tables and chairs. Those looking for a more intimate and private experience, just waiting to be seated in one of the private dining rooms, with natural light and a ceiling fresco of a naked black shaft and black cord draped intertwined with hanging orb like lights, the other with a painting by Adrien-Jean le Mayeur, a famous Brussels Belgian painter who lived the last years of his life in Bali. For dirty smokers like myself, we are free to blow away in a conditioning section provides ionized. The floors are black and white floor and the bare tree mural makes another appearance here. And last but not least, my favorite little corner in the corner with comfortable sofas neutral color, good for a coffee break or cocktails and gossip with the girls when evening comes.

Meatball Sub Joseph Abud, Executive Chef and his team have created a menu of their favorite dishes alongside European Asian classics. Joseph encourages guests to ask for tweaks they wish to improve the food to individual mouth. We started with the Caesar salad and common vegetable soup. The Caesar salad was crisp romaine lettuce and all the trimmings, but a stranger bite. Puzzled, I asked Joseph what this spice was, that was clearly not chili, pepper or mustard. Joseph revealed his secret; additional assistance of Worcestershire sauce. One option well for us addicts spices. The common vegetable soup came with egg which seemed a little odd to me, but agree with my taste buds, like vegetarian chili. I have to rave about the Algreco Pasta. Gains inspiration pasta in a Greek salad; spaghetti tossed in olive oil, feta cheese, olives and red onion with a wonderful fried fillet of dory. Dian, my partner in crime for this revision turned to me, smiled and just chirped "Tasty!" After she took her first bite of the dory fillet. The Anza pizza is available in pork or beef sausages and had a sure-doughesque base which, as a Finn part, I enjoyed. The Meatball sub was pungent spicy meatballs softened and mingling well with sweet tomato sauce. The Buttered salmon had a colorful coral sauce with roasted red peppers. At present, the dessert was not exaggerated my stomach could handle, but the recommended deserts include the ever popular Red Velvet and Hummingbird rainbow colored sky.

Town aims to be a place where friends can meet and enjoy the good food that's good for you at a good price. Their little food and drink menu is a witness to their faith by providing quality over quantity. If a quick lunch is on your agenda, enjoy their lunch deal which includes Town Nasi Goreng with Satay Lilit and iced tea for Rp 65,000. Or perhaps you fancy a dinner and beer with the boys you expect traffic; a pizza and two Hoegaardens for Rp. 210,000. To see if you can find a space for your personality pocket, Mosey on over Jalan Suryo No. 25, Sunday to Thursday 10:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Friday to Saturday 10:00 to 1:00.
